STOP THE EXTORTION OF NIGERIAN STUDENTS!
We condemn in strong terms the incessant harassment, unlawful search, and extortion of Nigerian students by security operatives across the Southwest region. Students are not criminals and must not be treated as such.
Recent reports from Osun, Ogun, Oyo, and Ondo states reveal a disturbing pattern where students are stopped on their way to campus, their phones unlawfully seized, bank accounts scrutinized, and money extorted under the guise of "investigation."
We call on the Inspector General of Police, state governors, and all security agencies to immediately put an end to this shameful practice. Nigerian students deserve respect, protection, and dignity.
