Official Notice: Total Shutdown Of Campuses Across OSUN STATE Directed

The leadership of NANS Southwest Zone D wishes to formally notify all Joint Campus Councils, Students' Union Governments, stakeholders and students across Osun State of our decision to commence a total and peaceful shutdown of academic activities, in response to the escalating political violence surrounding the state's governorship election.

We have observed with grave concern the rising incidence of shootings, intimidation and politically related killings across the state. Reports of gunfire near communities surrounding our institutions, especially at night, have heightened fear among students living on and off campus. No comprehensive security arrangement has been publicly communicated to protect our members during this period.

All structures under this zone are directed to prepare for full compliance. Students should be ready to return home peacefully until stability and adequate safety are restored. The precise date and operational details will be communicated solely through recognised NANS and SUG channels.

This action is not politically sponsored, and our conditions for engagement will be communicated directly to the relevant authorities when they demonstrate readiness for genuine dialogue with recognised student leadership. Until credible security guarantees are provided: NO SECURITY, NO ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES.
