ABOUT COMRADE ADEYEMO JOSIAH KAYODE

Early Life & Education

Comrade Adeyemo Josiah Kayode hails from Osun State, Nigeria, where he developed a passion for justice and community service from a young age. Growing up in a society where students often face systemic challenges, he vowed to be a voice for the voiceless.

He is currently a student at Osun State College of Health Technology, Ilesa, pursuing a degree in Environmental Health Technology, where he has distinguished himself not only academically but also as a transformative student leader.

Journey into Student Activism

Comrade Josiah's journey into activism began when he witnessed firsthand the struggles Nigerian students face — from poor infrastructure to security challenges and economic exploitation. He joined NANS with a clear mission: to fight for the rights, welfare, and dignity of every student.

His rise through the ranks was marked by consistent advocacy, peaceful protests, diplomatic engagements with authorities, and unwavering commitment to the cause of students across the Southwest.

As NANS Zone D Coordinator

In his current role as Coordinator of NANS Zone D (covering six southwestern states), Comrade Josiah has:

• Led peaceful protests against student extortion by security agencies
• Engaged state commissioners of police to demand justice for assaulted students
• Called for rent control and student-friendly housing policies
• Highlighted power supply failures affecting student accommodations
• Represented over 2,000,000 students in policy discussions

His philosophy is rooted in peaceful advocacy, strategic dialogue, and relentless pursuit of justice — principles that have earned him respect from fellow students, university administrators, and even security agencies who acknowledge his diplomatic approach.
