BILLIONCODES Declares Intent to Contest as NANS Southwest Zone D Coordinator
In a decisive move aimed at strengthening unity and advancing collective student progress, Comrade Adeyemo Josiah Kayode, widely known as BILLIONCODES, has formally declared his intention to contest for the office of Coordinator of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Southwest Zone D.
The declaration, themed “A Call to Unity, Purpose, and Collective Progress,” reflects a leadership vision rooted in inclusiveness, dialogue, and the enduring principles of student unionism. According to BILLIONCODES, the aspiration is not driven by personal ambition but by a firm belief that the strength of NANS Southwest lies in unity, cooperation, and shared responsibility among its diverse stakeholders.
Over time, the aspirant has been actively involved in consultations, bridge-building efforts, and honest engagements across the zone. These efforts, he noted, have helped reopen channels of dialogue among leaders and tendencies previously divided by ideology, rivalry, and history. What once appeared as deep-seated divisions have gradually given way to mutual understanding and common purpose.
BILLIONCODES’ experience as Assistant General Secretary of NANS Southwest has played a central role in shaping his leadership philosophy. Serving from within the system, he has worked closely with student leaders across states and campuses, coordinated administrative activities, and represented the zone in key engagements. These responsibilities, he says, have provided him with a practical understanding of the zone’s structure and the importance of leadership that listens, consults, and unites.
Beyond official roles, his commitment to student empowerment is evident through the BILLIONCODES Initiative Programme, which focuses on digital skills acquisition, academic support, and value-driven leadership development. The initiative underscores his belief that unity must go hand-in-hand with empowerment, and that today’s student movement must be equipped for relevance in a rapidly evolving academic and professional landscape.
As he seeks the office of Coordinator, BILLIONCODES has outlined a vision of a cohesive, disciplined, responsive, and respected NANS Southwest Zone—one where no state, institution, or tendency feels marginalized; where student welfare is prioritized; and where the collective voice of the zone speaks with clarity and authority at all levels.
Describing his declaration as a call for consolidation rather than contestation, he emphasized collaboration over confrontation and progress over division. He reaffirmed his readiness to serve with humility, experience, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to unity.
The declaration concludes with a strong rallying call to the student movement:
Long Live NANS National.
Long Live the Most Ideological Zone in NANS — Zone D.
Long Live NANS JCC Ekiti, Ondo, Ogun, Lagos, Oyo, and Osun.
Aluta Continua! ✊
With CONVERGENCE 26 on the horizon, stakeholders across the Southwest are watching closely as conversations around unity, purpose, and leadership continue to shape the future of the zone.
